Pit Senyor! Pit Senyor! Pit Senyor!

This is my third year experiencing Cebu's Sinulog Festival and it never failed to give me one heck of an experience! Woot woot!

 The waiting game! Early morning flight to Cebu!

 As soon as we arrived, we went to our Hotel, placed our bags and left to catch the morning mass at Sto. Nino Basilica.

After a long day of walking, we went to Ayala Mall to have lunch and catch Taken 3 in the cinemas, then after that we went straight to Fuente, to have dinner at Larsian's

Larsian's is a very affordable barbecue place in Fuente. There are a lot of barbecue vendors to choose from at a very affordable prices!

Puso - Php 4.00 per piece
Puso (pu-so') is the Cebuano style of rice, there's actually nothing special about it but the idea and the effort of how they present their rice makes it an experience

Larsian's Pork Barbecue - Php 5.00 per stick
We personally loved their barbecue because it's so barbecue-sweet which Filipinos really love and other stores sell barbecue without the fat! That is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G and imagine! Php5.00 per stick you can't find that here in Manila! haha

Another must try!
Chorizo de Cebu - Php 10.00 per stick

It's basically a barbecued sweet-taste longganisa and it's definitely a must try!

There are a lot of barbecue variants to choose from!! Larsian is indeed Cebu's Barbecue Haven.

The next day, we woke up at 4:00am to travel north of Cebu to experience whale shark watching/encounter. It's about 2-3hours drive from Cebu City proper.

Mode of Transportation:

Private Van - Whole day round trip Php 5,000

Public Bus - The terminal is located beside Elizabeth Mall.
Fare will range from Php 150+

Touchdown Oslob Cebu!

From the registration area you will be guided by the organization about the Do's and Dont's during your experience with the Whale Sharks. The encounter with the whale sharks is only limited up to 30 minutes maximum.

Prices:
Whale Shark Watching (from the boat) - Php 300.00
Whale Shark Encounter (swimming) - Php 500.00

  Seeing how huge and safe the whale sharks are will surely give you the chills.

No words can express how great the experience is, but one thing's for sure. It's definitely worth it.

After the encounter with the Butanding (Whale Sharks) we went straight to Tumalog Falls, which is about 10-15mins drive from the Whale Shark Watching area. Two years ago, I already tried the whale shark encounter. This year, I will experience something new the Tumalog Falls.

No cars can go beyond this point and an entrance fee of Php 120.00 will be charged. You can walk going down the falls or you have a choice of riding the habal-habal where you can ride a motorcycle for Php60.00 two way trip.

 As soon as you reach the place this will be your welcoming committee.

After Tumalog Falls we're off to our last stop for the day, the Simala Shrine.

After that day, it is just right to stop and thank our Lord for all the blessings and great experiences that He allowed us to enjoy.

Simala Shrine is known for it's structure and being Cebu's Castle Shrine and for having the Miraculous Image of Mary. You can see the different testimonials of people who experienced the miraculous powers of the Virgin Mary.

On our third day, went to Basilica de Sto. Nino to join the Mass and the Procession of Senyor Sto. Nino. A day full of walking, prayers, and festivities!

We witnessed the different performances of different organizations about how they worship and parade the image of Sto. Nino. It's so impressing to see how everyone really exert their all out effort to make sure to give their 100% performance for the festival.

After the performances, the procession started at 1pm and it's a must experience during Sinulog Festival since the celebration is all about the image of Sto. Nino.

Of course! You can't go to Sinulog without enjoying the night scenes! A great house party on a saturday night and followed by Invasion Sinulog happened at Fooda Mango! Definitely PIT SENYOR!
